くコ:彡 important research of squid parties くコ:彡

touhuo:

  • a “squid party” is defined as an event where inklings ignore the objective of turf wars, and instead spend their time getting together to jump around and quickly shift from inkling form to squid form, or just simply staying in squid form but making sure to stay out of ink at all, just crawling/jumping around the map and having a grand old time.
  • squid parties generally start when there are two or more friends with you in one lobby. if its just you and another friend i notice the stakes are too high (too many squids more likely to actually play the game right) to initiate squid parties, even moreso when you’re the only person in the whole lobby who wants to squid time.
  • however, squid parties can easily begin with only one person in a lobby of strangers initiating it, though the number of other squids joining in may be low.
  • squid parties are a lot more fun the more people are in on it, obviously. you know it is a dedicated lobby of squid partiers when people on both sides don’t even bother inking the turf, instead running straight to the middle of the map to initiate the party.
  • squids are very hostile towards squids who take advantage of the party, especially those on their own team. any squid who comes up to splat the other team members partying will typically be instantly splatted themselves.
  • in the event that a rogue squid splats all the other team’s members, their own team members tend to instantly turn on them, shooting at them and trying to make them go away. (due to being on the same team, of course, shooting at them does nothing, but it gets the message across)
  • despite how annoying an anti-partier is, squid parties are a lot more exciting with the chance of danger…. and it is extremely satisfying to splat the offending anti-partier, and it is even more satisfying when the anti-partier finally succumbs and joins the partying.
  • when a lobby is full of squid partiers, winning and losing turf wars doesn’t matter. there are no grudges. no one is upset that they may keep losing. there is only squid parties. there is only happiness.
  • squid partiers may often get very excited, and happily jump and shoot willy-nilly around the area. at this time, all ink shot that hits opposite team members is an accident, done without malice. they are just having a good time.

im making important research observations. splatoonus hire me, or at least look into this phenomenon of squid parties and make an official report
