honestly the people who ship themselves with their fictional faves, and the people who insert themselves into their favorite fictional universes are some of the most creative and imaginative people that i have ever fucking met. like??? who the hell cares if it’s considered “mary sue-ish” we’re having harmless fun, and a lot of the people who do stuff like that usually do it as a coping mechanism (not always but there are some people who do, and there are people who do it just bc it’s fun…which is what it’s supposed to be.)
