Yeah a lot of the negative reviews are like “LOOOOOL wtf are these stupid monsters what were they smoking” and they’re referring to things lifted from some of Japan’s most treasured folklore.
You’d think people would have been a bunch of otaku dweebuses long enough by now to know what Tsukumogami are, but I guess not if they still think pokemon like Klefki represent “running out of ideas.“
like is it just me or is white youtubers shitting on Yo-Kai Watch (a game made by japanese people about japanese culture) for being too much like Pokemon (an incredibly influential game in japan, made by, japanese people,,) a really. astonishingly ignorant display of hubris
