In case y’all didn’t know:

Considering zygarde’s different form, especially its dog form, as well as the XY legendary’s Norse myth origins: Zygarde and its forms are basically based off of loki’s children: Hel, Jormungandr, and Fenrir

Jormungandr was a large world serpent, Fenrir was a wolf, and hel was the ruler of hell. quite frankly none of the forms seem to match up with Hel, though considering zygarde’s 100% form it might fit if we knew more about it, but everything else fits pretty well considering Zygarde’s Norse myth roots

One note on Hel – due to being Underworld related she’s shown to have one half of her body dead and rotting and the other alive.

And one side of Zygarde is red and one blue to tie in with Xerenas / Yvetal.  You know… life and death.
