Okay, I gotta say that this game is good.

An actual health bar, no bullshit bottomless pits (unless it’s actually reasonable enough to put them in, like the airship level)

And like, even then you can’t just fall into the pits unless you’re really not paying attention (I think) so you can go fast if you really want and not lose a life just because ‘oops you ran too fast that you leaped into a pit!’

The fighting is a little hit and miss, like the only thing that’s extremely grating is like, the insane amount of hitstun in some parts so like, you can’t get out of an attack and it causes you to take massive damage

It’s also got the really quirky theme of older games that’s really cool. Like the amazing colors and quirky looking characters and enemies.

The voice acting reminded me of old cartoons. I didn’t have a problem aside from a few lines where the tone they had didn’t really fit the line (the biggest offender here is Carol’s voice, at least for me)

I probably might try out the other playable characters at some point, find the rest of the collectible cards that I missed.

Also gonna look forward to the DLC as well.
