the people i’ve seen criticizing or mocking him on here have been doing so because of one or more of the following reasons:

• because he romanticizes mental illness /chronic illness
• because he mocks eating disorders
• because he uses disability as a plot device
• because he writes all white cishet main characters with ike a minor poc sidekick at best
• because he literally wrote white non-jewish teenagers kissing in ana frank’s house as a “celebration of life” and equating two kids having naturally caused cancer with ana frank dying of illness after years in a concentration camp????? how disrespectful and antisemitic is that??? 
• because he’s misogynistic as hell (talks about women as “resources” and romantic plot devices, condemns women who suffer eating disorders as shallow/stupid/vapid, mocks women who undergo aesthetic surgeries, uses the word slut constantly)

• remember the “when was the last time the GIRL kissed the BOY in a teen romance? ever? has it happened ever?” post regarding HIS OWN MOVIE lmao I hate him so much
