Happy Home Designer E3 Trailer Analysis – Things we can expect in the next AC game

like I said earlier this game is very much a filler to keep us happy until the next real AC game, and it showed off some new features that will likely be in it.
(nothing is 100% guaranteed and some features will probably vary but this definitely sets a standard)  
heres what I spotted in the trailer :

DARK SKINNED CHARACTERS. everything suggests this game is purely designing and doesn’t feature free roam like normal ac games in which the only way to get darker skin was to spend hours tanning each day. so this could mean you design your character from the start, including skin colour. AT LAST.

House Placement – there is a clip of the player choosing the general location for the villagers house plot on the map, then fine tuning it later on. so no more unwanted houses in your flowerbeds. (also, mountain and desert areas on the map??)

Easier Furniture Placement – normally you’d have to shove your sofa around, probably pick it up and put it back again several times until you got it where you wanted it. HHD features a much simpler drag-and-drop placing mechanic.

Rugs – you see the player selecting a rug then placing it on the floor. also pictured is what appears to be a rug version of the citrus carpet on a polka dot carpet. this could mean you can remove existing rugs from some flooring (ex. round carpet, tartan rug, cowhide rug), and place rug versions of normal flooring.

The return of cliffs and more diverse landscape previously only seen in city folk and gamecube versions.

More buildings – a school??? no idea how that’d work but sounds pretty cool man. also probably hints to more non-residential buildings.

CEILING FURNITURE. NOT JUST LIGHTING FIXTURES BUT DECOR TOO.

GARDEN. FURNITURE. nearly every item pictured is already a furniture item in the current game, which suggest theres now an option to place garden themed items outdoors too, or they’re just pwp versions. also a car in the bottom left but thats probably just a HHD feature and how you move around in the game.

a DOoR InSIdE???/??? does this mean rooms will no longer be seperated by a dark hole into the void but by actual doors? could possibly be just a decoration though like in fantasy life to give the illusion of more rooms.

and a few other little bits; what looks like a pile of shirts, a medicine box, a paper bin and a telephone.

Characters sitting on chairs that are against a table. you know what I’m talking about. you want your chair against the table but then you cant sit on it, and having it one space apart leaves a hideous gap. you cant win. until now apparently.

ok thats everything I noticed I probably missed a few things so let me know if thats the case! I’m personally really excited for this game and all the elements it holds for future games in the franchise.
